The Face Shop Animal Character Mask

Exactly! Who says all sheet masks must look boring?

I say, let the inner child within us come out to play with the latest Korean beauty trend – Animal Characters Face Mask!

The Face Shop's Character Mask is a new launch from the Kbeauty brand, and it is a sheet mask with cute animal face designs printed onto it. The Face Shop has 5 masks for you to choose from - panda, fox, sheep, dragon, and tiger.

Of course, the benefit is more aesthetic than functional. After all, a sheet mask is a sheet mask, whether it has a cute animal face printed on it or not, it doesn't change its function. Still though, in the vein of "skincarentainment" (a term I've seen thrown around with respect to Asian beauty, particularly Kbeauty products), this is pretty novel to use - you put on the sheet mask, and boom! instant panda face! It does inject some fun into your skincare routine, which I guess is the concept behind "skincarentainment": it's not just about the product, but also the experience, fun, and novelty of using it.

The character mask sheet deliver rich moisture to dry and flaky skin with Hyaluronic acid and Collagen. Formulated without 4 additives ( Mineral Oil, Sulfate, Talc, Polyacrylamide)

I would love to elaborate on their functions but unfortunately, my Hangul is not up to par.

The hydration function seems to work well for me. I could also feel the difference when I do my make up in the morning. Even the application seems smoother than usual

As there was no sticky residue or feeling after the mask application, I would say that it is suitable for people who have combination to oily skin too!

The Alley, 5 Stewart Lane @ Pulau Pinang

Recently , I've visited few cafes and coffee shops in Pulau Pinang after coming back from UK! This tiny little coffee house caught my attention although it was situated in some back alley and its not easy to spot! It took me 2 days to spot it ~ and its really worth my time looking for it :)

This shop is not modern type like those famous ones u can find in KL like coffee staint or coffee societe or garage, but it has its own vintage feel and not to say remaining the heritage building and shop lots, so not much renovation is done.

Their cakes are the main attraction I found during this visit! They change different kind of cake every week  which basically they already made 52 types of different cakes since its almost 1 year in business.

The red velvet cheesecake and star fruit cheesecake taste heavenly!!! <3 :)

And as u can see, even its coffee is a combination of modern and local culture! Which shop will make coffee art in a teh tarik cup HAHAHA :D they serve it with a piece of cookie, I don't know what is it called but its some chinese traditional biscuit...

Not forgetting to snap a picture with the friendly barister and workers!

Overall, I'll give a 7/10 ! The price is reasonable and workers have great manners :)

Feel free to try it out peeps !!
